Our vision is, “Resetting Futures”.  Crossroads is a school dedicated to providing students with personalized learning pathways and social emotional support through the small classroom model.  Teachers are able to diagnose and remedy student barriers to learning, so that they are able to seamlessly transition back into their to their neighborhood schools.

Our on-site behavioral support provider is PATH.  In addition, we have an on-site counselor and a climate manager who both have broad experiences with behavioral management.

Our Purpose

Crossroads Academy at Hunting Park is a transitional school that exposes students in need of a smaller learning environment to Tier II and Tier III academic and behavioral interventions.  Our work is centered around diagnosing behavioral and academic deficiencies to develop personalized learning paths for each child. We set instructional and behavioral goals for each student in the form of a personalized learning plan.  We monitor student data to assess whether students are ready to transition to their neighborhood school or to determine if they need a higher level of intervention. We work closely with PATH to ensure that our students receive counseling and are given the coping skills and competencies to handle challenging situations. In providing such programming, we want to ensure that our students are given the tool kits, as well as the instructional support, that will allow them to return to their neighborhood schools and experience academic success.
